BITS Pilani Launches WILP’s MBA in Digital Business for Working Professionals
Most of the modern businesses need digital technologies to transform their business models in today’s world. Through this, their products or services can undergo innovation delivering a better customer experience. Keeping this in mind, the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani has launched a two-year MBA in Digital Business programme to equip the working professionals with requisite industrial skills to support their customers in best possible way.
A market research report by Markets and Markets states that the market size of digital transformation is projected to grow from USD 521.5 billion in 2021 to USD 1247.5 billion by 2026 worldwide. Among these, the largest number of start-ups in our country constitute the major digital business sector in India. Most of these start-ups have now become leading global brands. The MBA in Digital Business programme consists of four semesters and the duration for each one of them is of five months. The classes are scheduled during the weekend or after business hours and are delivered through the internet. The programme has been designed keeping in mind five foundational pillars of digital business namely fundamentals of management, customer centricity in digital businesses, digital business management, emerging technologies, and data-driven decision making.
The programme comprises of eight management core courses in finance, economics, accounting, statistics, HR, strategy, operations, and marketing along with four digital business area core courses and two elective courses. The core courses for Digital Business include strategies for digital business, digital business design, digital technologies and analytics, and digital customer experience management. The participants of this programme can also avail the facilities such as BITS Pilani’s state-of-the-art labs including Management, Finance, and Analytics labs to gain practical skills through experiential learning assignments, business simulations, and case studies.
