After the rescheduling of JEE Main exam, the JEE advanced 2019 has also been postponed due to general elections. An official statement by Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Roorkee, the institute which will be conducting JEE advanced exams this year stated that instead of May 19 the exam will be conducted on May 27, 2019 this year.
The official statement read, “In view of the clash in the dates of JEE (Advanced) 2019 and the last phase of General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE (Advanced) 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday). The examination will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST).”
Earlier, JEE Mains exams held by National Testing Agency(NTA) was also rescheduled. The exam was earlier supposed to be conducted from April 7 to April 20 onwards. Now, Paper 1(B.E/ B.Tech) will be held on April 8, 9, 10, and 12 and Paper 2(B. Arch/ B. Planning) will be held from April 8, 9,10, and 12.
