The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Delhi broke its record of 10 years with its students getting 900 offers, from various employers from India and outside it. This number exceeds 1000 if pre-placement offers are included in it. These students work under employers before getting recruited.

The official IIT Delhi statement had stated that the number of recruiters also saw an increase of 15 per cent over the last year. The highest number of offers (32%) were bagged by students of core subjects such as electrical, chemical, civil and mechanical engineering.       

It was followed by 20% of offers by students of Information Technology. Remaining offers were from the field of consulting, research, management, teaching, and analytics etc.

IIT Delhi was ranked among the top 100 employer in Global University Employability Ranking 2018. The ranking gauges 150 institutes for their employability taking in account 7,000 major businesses across the world.
