Katha, an organisation that made its advent in 1988 to develop reader leaders has released an e-book titled ‘The Mystery of the Missing Soap’ to make children understand the significance of health and hygiene in the wake of increasing cases of covid-19 in India.
This unique e-book aims to encourage practices of health and hygiene among children in their language which is of utmost importance to curb the current challenges that have risen due to the pandemic. The plot of the book is about an Asura or demon, Tobakachi that intends to spread the dreaded Coronavirus. The e-book is an exciting one-stop guide of dos and don’ts for protection of children during pandemic.
While unveiling the book, Geeta Dharmarajan, Founder, Katha said, “The idea is to reach out to everyone, including children from low-income communities, and hence anybody can read the book for free. All they need is an internet connection or a smart-phone, a laptop or any other device that supports an internet connection. Our objective is to protect our children from this pandemic, as much as possible, and awareness is crucial for this.”
