A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Central University of Jammu and Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Central University of Jammu and Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence to establish Kalam Centre for Science and Technology (KCST). The MoU has been signed facilitate and undertake multidisciplinary basic and applied research along with technology development in computational system security and sensors.
As a part of this agreement, state-of-the-art facilities and equipments will be provided at KCST leading to increased opportunities for research scholars in this area. The MoU was signed on September 26 in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and DRDO chairman and Secretary Department of Defence R&D, Dr G Satheesh Reddy.
Director General (Technology Management) DRDO, Sudhir Gupta and Professor Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu were also present on the occasion. Gopalaswami Parthasarathy, Chancellor, Central University of Jammu thanked DRDO for establishing high-end research centre to promote quality research which will encourage numerous budding scientists from this region.
