All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi along with fourteen other AIIMs declared their entrance exam results yesterday for the tests held for the undergraduate medical admission MBBS. According to rank released by premier medical institute, four candidates have scored 100 percentile marks in the entrance exam held on May 25 and May 26. AIIMS results can be now accessed from the official website, aiimsexams.org.
As the exam was held for more than 3 lakh candidates in four shifts, AIIMS now is following normalisation method to calculate marks for candidate. The adopted normalisation is based on percentiles. The marks obtained by candidates are transformed into the scale ranging from 100 to 0. The names and other details of these candidates are not released now as AIIMS has only released the roll numbers of these students.
The mock round of online counselling or seat allocation in AIIMs is expected to begin on June 20, 2019 followed by further rounds of counselling. A statement from AIIMS said, the details will be available at www.aiimsexams.org very shortly. All the candidates should register for online counselling or seat allocation on June 20, 2019. Candidates including those not mentioned in the ranks yesterday may download their AIIMS MBBS results from the website, www.aiimsexams.org.
According to AIIMS, the total number of candidates appearing for the first round of seat allocation are four times more than the actual number of seats, except AIIMS, Mangalagiri (Guntur). If the seats today are not filled by the list of published candidates today eligible for mock round or first round of seat allocation or online counselling, qualified candidates who are in subsequent merit list for each category may be called in other rounds of online counselling.
