The admission committee of Delhi University is yet to set up an agency that will conduct the entrance exams for admissions.
The admission committee of Delhi University is yet to set up an agency that will conduct the entrance exams for admissions in various courses of Delhi University, which has led to a delay in the beginning of the process. The university’s admission started from May 15 last year. The standing committee on admissions had recommended this year that process should begin from May 27, but the admission committee has not finalised the date yet.
Rajeev Gupta, dean, Students’ Welfare told that the dates for entrance exams are yet to be finalised. He said, “The portal is the same for merit-based courses and entrance exam based courses. The admission process will start once the dates are finalized. We are yet to finalize the agency that will be conducting the entrance exams.”
The National Testing Agency(NTA) will conduct entrance exams for various Delhi University Courses. Gupta further added that the admission process will be finalised in the coming week. The server is in the process of undergoing testing and the admission process is delayed due to technical glitches due to introduction of new features.
The standing committee had also suggested the payment gateways for students should be multiple to make admission of students easier. An official added, “Earlier, there was only one payment gateway which would lead to the server crashing but having multiple gateways will ease the process.” These recommendations are yet to be approved by the admissions committee.
