The preliminary examination for the selection of Probationary Officer(PO) will be conducted on June 8, 9, 15, and 16. Admit cards for the exam have been released online. The prelims examinations will contain three sections – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability making it a total of 100 marks each. This exam is a qualifying criteria for the main exam. The total number of candidates will be ten times the number of vacancies.
The sections quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability will have 35 questions each, while the language section will comprise of 30 questions in total. Candidates will be given 20 minutes each, to attempt each of three sections. No sectional cut-offs will be published to decide merit list for the main exam. Almost 2000 PO vacancies would be filled through two-tier online exam and one interview round.
Meanwhile, SBI is already conducting training for PO prelims. Candidates from SC, ST, and religious minority communities have opted for the training. Admit cards are available right now on the bank’s portal. “Candidates opting for pre-examination training should download their call letter for training from Bank’s website by entering their registration number and password/date of birth. No hard copy of the call letter will be sent,” reads the official notification.
