Manav Rachna Excellence Awards(MREA) 2019 entering its third year, celebrated the excellence in various core industries and in academia. The award tends to reward efforts of those who have made extraordinary contribution and gone beyond their endeavours to continually improve the standards of education industry in India.
The awards gauge the capability of eduprenuers, alumni or student achievers on their economic growth and transformation. Hence, these awards are a recognition of the institution’s commitment towards rewarding excellence across all genres. These awards were envisioned by Dr. OP Bhalla, founder, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI).
Dr. DP Singh, chairman, University Grants Commission, graced the third edition of MREA 2019. Awards were given to achievers of 11 industries in the presence of Dr Prashant Bhalla, president, MREI; Dr NC Wadhwa, DG; P Dwarkanath, ex-director, HR, GSK; Padma Shri Dr Pritam Singh, DG, MREI; Ravi Vasudeva and veterans from the industry.
Dr Sanjay Srivastava in his welcome address said, “The
assessment process is one of the most robust of any award. A rigorous opinion
poll amongst our elite selection committee led by Padma Shri Dr Pritam Singh,
SY Siddiqui, SK Roongta, Kishore Jayaraman, P Dwarkanath and other corporate and
academic leaders is conducted to determine the finest leaders across domains.” Emphasising
the importance of democracy in the way of choosing award recipients, Dr DP
Singh added, “Success has a few common characteristics, which are evident from
the profiles of the recipients of the MREA.”
