254 students from FPM and PGP programmes were awarded at eighth convocation at IIM Rohtak.
The 8th convocation of Indian Institute of Management(Rohtak) was organised on Saturday. Numerous students were awarded degrees during the ceremony, told an official statement by the institute. 254 students from FPM and PGP programmes were awarded on Saturday.
The event was graced by Chairman, Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) Arvind Saxena. Addressing the congregation, IIM Rohtak Director, Dheeraj Sharma said that all students from the 7th largest PGP batch among the 20 IIMs were placed well and it was an achievement for the institution.
“There has been a four-times increase in the female students inducted to the institute this year with the best gender ratio”, said Sharma while addressing the conference. Silver and bronze medals were awarded to Rajat Jain and Akshay Malik respectively. The gold medal was awarded to Prakhar Chabbra for being an all-rounder. UPSC chairman congratulated all the brilliant passing out students and institute for bringing out best in them.
