Baibaswata Jena and Akshay Parale from SJMSOM, IIT Bombay won Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2019 by defeating their opponents.
Baibaswata Jena and Akshay Parale from SJMSOM, IIT Bombay won Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2019 by defeating their opponents. Anand and Dhwani Agarwal and Amar Tandon from National Law Institute University, Bhopal and Jay Bhupesh Rana and Bhushan Kirtibhai Patel from Sayaji University were two other top teams at the zone 3 finals of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz.
These teams will now compete with four other teams at the National finals which will be held in Vivanta President, Mumbai. A cash prize of Rs. 75,000 was given to Akshay Parale and Baibaswata Jena who will now take part in zonal round to qualify for national final.
Runners-up in the competition were Shvabh Chakrawarti and Aditya Bharadwaj from Government Law College, Mumbai and the team received a cash prize of Rs.35, 000. The chief guest at the finale was Ms. Ashrafi Matcheswala, General Manager, Taj Vivanta (President).
The theme of the quiz this year was T-20 cricket format to commemorate the 2019 Cricket World Cup. The quiz was hosted by the noted quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam. The fifteenth edition of the quiz will cover 40 cities with five zonal rounds. The winning teams will further participate in grand national finale. The winners of the national final will get the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy along with the grand prize of Rs. 5,00,000.
