The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has unveiled its ‘Dare to Dream’ contest and has invited applicants from all across the country to participate in it. Applicants can select a challenge from the proposed list provided at the website and suggest solutions for it.

Individuals can apply both as start-ups and as individuals. A start-up by a single person can also apply for it.  The application for this contest has already started and last date for application is February 28, 2019. The winner in the start-up category will get Rs 10 lakh and individual category will get Rs 5 lakh.

Only selected candidates will get a response from DRDO. The top three candidates in the individual category will be awarded Rs. 5, 4, and 3 lakhs respectively and Rs. 10, 8, and 6 lakhs under start-up category.  Aspiring candidates can apply at the official website drdo.gov.in and click on ‘Dare to Dream: DRDO Innovation Contest’.     

The areas of research for this contest include quantum computing, AI, autonomous system, quantum computing, soldier as a system, smart material, and Tera Hz Communication.
