NTA to Conduct Entrance Tests for Agriculture and Allied Courses

The entrance exam for master’s and bachelor programme in agriculture and allied courses will be now conducted by NTA.

The all India entrance exam for master’s and bachelor in agriculture and allied courses will be now conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA). The government testing authority will be conducting the exam on the behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The exam details will be disclosed by NTA today (April 1) and the registration will take place from April 1 to April 30.

Earlier, 15% of undergraduate seats and 25% postgraduate seats were filled through ICAR led entrance exams. For deemed-to-be universities like IARI, IVRI, NDRI, admissions were held through this exam earlier too. The council conducted two separate exams for both programmes earlier.

The previous entrance exam conducted in August was the 23rd all India exam. The results for this were declared in September. The exam scheduled in June was cancelled due to administrative reasons.   The testing agency has been set up primarily to conduct the JEE main exam, NEET, Common Management Entrance Test, the JNU entrance exam, and the Hotel Management Test.
